Posters from the archive 1969–2005 is an investigation into the archive of Hordaland Art Center (HKS) in Bergen, Norway. Madrid was commissioned to create some sort of reflection on an exhibition where 21 posters from the archive were on display. Being graphic designers, the first thing we wondered was; who designed these posters? Since no one had the answer to that question, our hunt for the anonymous designers forms the basis of this publication.

Posters from the archive 1969–2005
After nearly two years in the making, we finally had an official release of the publication that we have co-published with Hordaland Art Center (HKS). Mads and Ingrid joined Mathijs van Geest (director at HKS) and Jorunn Småland (graphic designer of one of the posters) in a conversation about the anonymous work of the designer, the investigation into local graphic design history and the process of making the publication come together.
